Acacia Honey bottle Acacia Honey bottle

Acacia Honey

The acacia honey has just received the Hungarikum trade mark. The recording into the national depository raise this exceptional quality product to its worthy place.

In Hungary there are large, pure Acacia forests. Acacia makes up more than one fifth of all forests in Hungary – this means 460.000 acres. The excellence of the Hungarian acacia honey is due to the continuous acacia and the lack of other nectar plants while the blooming cycle of the acacia, which would mar the quality of the acacia honey.

The acacia honey is popular all over the world. Its uniqueness lies in the bright colour, the harmonic fragrance of acacia flowers and the soft, free of taint aroma. Because of the high fructose content the acacia honey crystallizes very slowly, it takes several years.

Acacia honey is a useful therapy in case of cough, indigestion, gastric hyperacidity and has a good antiseptic effect. The mild flavour makes it a popular sweetener used in drinks and desserts. It is poor in pollen therefore we recommend it to the sensitive ones as well.

Multiflower Honey bottle Multiflower Honey bottle

Multiflower Honey

The composition of multiflower honey can be very different but in every case is collected only from nectar of flowers. The variations arise from both the diversity of plants visited by bees, on the other hand, from the blending of various monofloral honeys as well. Therefore the colour of this honey can be very various, usually light brownish. Mostly it is used to immunize and for wound treatment. As cosmetic material it can be used for body and hear treatment. It crystallizes moderately quickly.

Creamed Honey

Creamed honey is honey that has been processed to control crystallization. Creamed honey contains a large number of small crystals, which prevent the formation of larger crystals that can occur in unprocessed honey. The processing also produces a honey with a smooth spreadable consistency.

Propolis

Propolis is a brown resin or sticky gum like substance that bees collect from the trees and plants around them. Bees know from many millions of years experience what specific plants provide good medicine for them! The bees seek out what substances they need from plant sources and combine them with the bees own enzymes to produce Propolis to use in the beehive and protect themselves from many viral and bacterial infections. Propolis contains many substances including natural antibiotic compounds.
